is to provide, promote, and support substance-free activities and programs that encourage, strengthen, and build character,
self-esteem, and confidence in the children, youth and families of our community.

PROGRAMS
DMYFS offers a
variety of programs for our Durham, Middlefield & Rockfall Connecticut residents. These programs include Family Game Night,
Dances, Senior Bingo Night, Family Bingo, Dodge Ball,Father/Daughter Dances and much more.
VOLUNTEER
If you are interested in volunteer work, completing school hours, or community service hours you can contact us at
349-0258. Volunteer hours usually consist of office work, filing, shredding, cleaning, painting, helping in the food bank,
washing of town vehicles, landscaping, chaperoning an event, and many other activities.

Announcements: DMYFS is
pleased to announce the appointment of Betsy Dean as Executive Director of the agency. Betsy was previously
employed by the YMCA of Southeastern CT for over 25 years; most recently in the capacity of Associate Executive Director.
Betsy joins DMYFS with experience in developing programs that support youth development in conjunction with The Search
Institute's 40 developmental assets. She possesses strong grant writing skills as well as strategic
and operational goal setting from her time with the YMCA. Betsy lives in Westbrook with her husband and
three children where she raises alpacas part-time. She will formally begin her position on June 15th
and plans on making appointments to meet various community leaders and educators shortly thereafter.
